SOOTY SHEARWATER MAKES TOP 10 OF BIRDLIFE'S SA PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

Wilfred Chivell, founder of the Trust has many wonderful photographic opportunities in his line of work. 

His photograph of a Sooty Shearwater just cutting the ocean on a perfectly calm day (Titled "Contact") has been shortlisted in the Top 10 of Birdlife's SA photographic competition running in conjunction with the Save our Seabirds Festival (12-18 October 2009) at the Two Oceans Aquarium - see BLSA web site our seabirds festival 2009.

There is a popular vote at the Aquarium and the main online winner depends on highest bid. All photos are to be published in a commemorative book.
